Radiator solution

Fixed-line broadband subscriber authentication

Subscriber authentication that scales with your fibre rollout. Radiator authenticates PPPoE and IPoE sessions at the broadband network gateway, allocates addresses, applies service profiles from your CRM and delivers accounting to billing, with the Service Provider Pack for carrier scale.

The problem

Subscriber AAA built for a few thousand lines does not survive a fibre rollout. Address allocation, provisioning integration and accounting reliability become the constraint on growth.

Target outcome

Every subscriber session authenticated and accounted reliably as the network grows, with provisioning driven from the systems you already run.

The outcome

New subscribers come online as soon as the order is placed. Sessions authenticate quickly at peak, accounting reaches billing reliably, and the AAA platform is never the reason a rollout slows down.

How it works

Broadband network gateways and OLTs send RADIUS authentication and accounting for each subscriber session, whether the access is GPON, XG-PON or XGS-PON. Radiator looks up the subscriber in your CRM, database or directory, allocates IPv4 and IPv6 addresses from pools held in files, SQL or REST, returns the service profile and writes accounting to billing. The Service Provider Pack adds a network-wide licence for unlimited servers, Diameter interworking and equipment identity checks; Radiator Core brings the Radiator 10 engine and container images for operators who want to run AAA on their platform.

What Level9 does

We design for your gateway vendor and subscriber numbers, integrate with provisioning and billing, test at load and support the platform in the UK. For providers on an existing RADIUS server, we migrate with parallel running.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Does Radiator integrate with our CRM and provisioning?

Yes. Subscriber profiles can be looked up or provisioned through SQL, LDAP or REST, so the service profile returned to the gateway comes from the system of record.

Can it handle IPv6 and address pools?

Yes. Radiator supports IPv4 and IPv6 address allocation, including pool management and framed routes, for PPPoE and IPoE sessions.
